The sensing tip can be positioned between 0mm and 25mm from the end of the bolt, which allows a choice of where in the melt the temperature is measured. Adjustment can be made to the immersion depth into the melt without the removal of the sensor from the process. Alternative threads are available and a straight or right-angled stem can be specified. Each sensor is supplied with a male plug fitted.
