Integrated Circuit and Diode temperature sensors are generally supplied as a potted sensor in a short 316 stainless steel protection sheath with an extension lead and a connector if required. These type of temperature sensors offer high accuracy and sensitivity over a limited measuring range and due to their solid state construction are very reliable offering good service life. As with thermistors, these sensors are not covered by any national or international standards and therefore Southern Temperature Sensors Ltd must be advised of the specific sensing element required by the customer.
