The Convir ST8818 Series is a range of professional, low cost, handheld infrared thermometers with laser sighting and large backlit LCD displays.

Each unit measures from -50°C to 200°C with 0.1°C resolution and from 200°C upwards with 1°C resolution - the change in resolution takes place automatically. They also offer a superior 12:1 field of view, which helps to minimise errors by producing a small diameter measurement area.

The emissivity setting is fixed at 0.95, making the ST8818 Series ideal for most organic materials and non-shiny (painted, corroded or anodised) metals.

Readings can be taken in °C or °F, and when the trigger is released the last measurement is held for 7 seconds before the unit automatically turns off.

This rugged unit will operate in ambient temperatures from 0°C to 50°C and is powered by a standard PP3 9 V battery.

The ST8818 is supplied with a soft carrying case, and the ST8828 is supplied with a hard carrying case.
